The agreement signed in Lombardia on temporary lay-off schemes, as part of the application of CIG payments, involves the following:
- workers whose employers are the owners of businesses that do not meet the requirements for treatment under the standard legislation on temporary lay-offs;
- employees of companies filing exceptional applications for the maximum duration of treatment envisaged under standard legislation on lay-offs;
- employees with apprenticeship or staff supply contracts from companies already receiving treatment envisaged under standard legislation on lay-offs.
The Lombardia agreement also envisages the option of requesting exceptional mobility treatment, or an equivalent indemnity for certain types of worker normally excluded from such treatment, or workers not meeting the requirements for receipt of unemployment benefit treatments.
