“Italian Employment and Labour Law” (edited by De Luca & Partners and published by Wolters Kluwer)

Partners and Associates of the Law Firm De Luca & Partners are proud to announce the release of the new handbook “Italian Employment and Labour Law”, edited by Wolters Kluwer, with the grant patronage of “The British Chamber of Commerce for Italy – BCCI”.

In Italy the labour and employment law environment has recently been through a significant period of deep reform that, despite what old criterion dictate, has led to a regulatory system that makes the “Bel Paese” very competitive when compared to most western countries.

That is why the intention of the handbook “Italian Employment and Labour Law” is to provide an operational guide, which represents a daily working tool for professionals and, in general, for operators who have to interact with the provisions of the Italian legal system. The handbook aims to describe the main rules to be taken into account in order to manage an employment relationship and, to analyze the rights and duties of the parties involved, such as, for example, the employer, the employee, trade unions, public institutions and national institutes; clarifying the instrument of national collective bargaining agreements.

Furthermore, it is a valuable tool for those who, not being familiar with the Italian legal framework, would wish to investigate its functioning and learn about the rules that define the relationships between companies and workers, also with a view to assessing the possibility of starting a business in Italy.

Finally, the entire work also included English translations of the main sources of legislation governing labour and employment law which are the subject of the annotated part of this handbook to provide a practical tool for the Reader who is dealing with or needs to know about labour and employment issues in our country.
